Summarizing a File for Underwriting
Turn a full application file into a standardized credit summary, so every underwriter opens the same picture in the same order.
About this use case
Two underwriters reading the same file build the picture in different orders and notice different things first. Most of the first ten minutes on any file is reconstruction: what is the structure, what is the income, what does the bureau show, what is unusual here.
This use case produces that reconstruction in a fixed format, with every figure carrying its source, so the underwriter starts from the same summary every time and spends the time on the judgment instead.
A complete file comes back as applicant, structure, income, obligations, collateral, bureau highlights, policy fit and open questions. A file with two parties is summarized separately and together, and a file changing hands mid-review carries a list of what has and has not been verified.
